Hi Rob,
I bought Dapeng T8100 mobile from China. Virgin technicians don't seem to have any clue how to set up internet on this model. Maybe you could help. Thanks heaps.

That's a good point, I was trying to locate this setting last night. Shame it's "ON" by default.

This is the default configuration, but you can lock out Siri:

Settings ->General -> Passcode Lock -> Siri. Set ON -> OFF.

I know this is an old post, and about an old VS version, but I'm still ticked off by TFS with VS2010 Team Explorer integration.

Since I've only been using VS2010, and developing on the MS platform for under a month, I still look at something like TFS and "shake my head".

The reason? Distributed Version Control Systems. EVERYTHING is local. It's gets around the "We are not always connected" point.

Read why it's good having everything local: http://whygitisbetterthanx.com/#everything-is-local

No need to install any ISAPI filter to remove the index.php from WordPress permalinks. No need of .htaccess file..Use these simple steps to WordPress Permalinks in IIS 6.0 using Custom 404 Redirect for Windows Shared hosting/manas hosting or any windows shared hosting.

This does work with groups. Using well known SIDs is the best approach to ensure compatibility across different versions of Windows Server. I've done this type of thing for several years in a large enterprise environment and can tell you first hand that it starts out good, but becomes hard to maintain across thousands of services and hundreds of users. I'm building a web based systems management tool to centralize control of who can start and stop services using RBAC. It's called System Frontier. I'm planning to start beta testing in January 2012 and could used some experienced feedback. Great article and thanks!

Hi Dan,

WCF and EF proxies don't mix well at all! There's no way I know of to publish them beyond a WCF service boundary, due to the dynamic nature of their types at runtime. Besides that, there are still some additional issues publishing WCF POCO objects (via T4 templates) via WCF, chronicalled here: http://www.sanderstechnology.com/2010/the-ado-net-entity-framework-poco-objects-and-you/10142/
Cheers,

Hi -- cool blog. I've been lost in Lerman's book for about a month now, off and on. From what you wrote above, I'm especially interested in how you decided to deal with proxies and WCF. So far, I only know how to modify the T4 to remove dynamic proxies entirely, and thus lose some of the functionality. Whatever info you'd have would be a marked improvement over what I know now.
